I started playing acoustic bass when I was 16 years old.

I played jam sessions with such wonderful people as Larry McKenna (tenor sax), Vince Fontana (vibes), John Ellis (piano), Arthur Harper (Bass), Jerry Goodman (drums) and many other fine musicians. I'll always be indebted to Larry D'Tommaso (piano) and Tommy Cohen (drums).

Then before I knew it, I was addicted to drugs and alcohol and spent the next 35 years literally lost, but thanks to a wonderful friend and fine pianist, "Father John" D'Amico and his family and to my own family's belief in me, I'm starting to play again.

I'm looking forward to my musical journey and believing in my mentor, Miles Davis.
