Jack Rudnick has been playing music since the
4th grade when he started studying the viola. Eventually, he became persuaded to
play reed instruments and by high school he was playing Jazz saxophone. By
the end of high school he held a top state ranking on Tenor Saxophone in
Pennsylvania.
During his time at Drexel University, Jack majored in Music
Technology with a concentration in Computer Science. He persisted as lead
Saxophonist in various music ensembles at Drexel under the tutelage of
ethnomusicologist and Saxophonist, Dr. George Starks. In addition, Jack
specialized in
classical saxophone studying under James Kilik .
In the present, Jack often plays with trombonist Bryan Housel
and loves playing any chance he gets. He is also very gracious for the opportunity
to play at 23 street cafe.
