Dr. Hal Rutenberg, alto saxophone, is one of the original group
of 23rd St. Cafe "jammers" and has been on the Philly jazz scene for over 45
years.
He played Big Band in the
40s ...BeBop, Cool Jazz' and
"funky" in the 50s ... Modern in the 60s
..... Avant Garde
in the 70s, and now is trying to keep up with the
"anything goes" fun at
the Tuesday jam session. He will try to play any request in your favorite
