Ed has been playing the drums from the age of eighteen. Strictly a basement drummer until he started playing at 23rd St. several years ago at the urging of his law partner, Steve Goodman, Ed has a style all his own. Ed describes himself as a "time" player. "I concentrate on maintaining a flow within the piece, and I try to stay away from anything that might jeopardize that", he said. Ed was formerly United States Attorney in Philadelphia and Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal division of the United States Department of Justice.
